SUMMER 2003

Home Alone -2: Lost in New York I visited the New York city on July 25th and 26th. I had Br. Michael Greco with me on the 25th and Dorothy Wenzel on the 26th chaperoning me around (and seeing that I did not get lost).

The Capuchins go sailing around Lower Manhattan ...

... with Arlen Harris, Michael Greco and Jim Lewinski

A view of Lower Manhattan

It was a beautiful, clear day ...

... and the sights were gorgeous

The World Trade Center stood majestically behind these buildings before 9/11

The Statue of Liberty ... awesome, inspirational and majestic

Had to have my picture with the grand lady!

A great view of the famous Brooklyn Bridge

A view of the garden that is open to the public at our Friary (St. John's) on 31st St. in Manhattan - a small oasis in the midst of the city.

This is the closest I can get to some famous personalities ... at the wax museum

With Michael Jordan

A CJ with CC ... and just in case you are wondering what CJ stands for, its Capuchin Jokers!

Standing with Marilyn Monroe ...

... for which I got into trouble with the Incredible Hulk

Part and parcel of the 60's - Beatle mania

At John's Pizzaria - with Michael and Dorothy

A room with a view ... from the top of the Empire State Building

... the view from another 'window'

... and another ...

Such a feeling's coming over me ...

... remember the song ...

"Top of the World" ... yeah, that's how I felt!

A look down the world famous Wall Street ... in the background is Trinity Church.

It was a very moving experience to visit Ground Zero. I also paid a visit to St. Mark's Church which now houses a memorial to the volunteers who worked after the attacks (couldnt bring myself to take any pictures there ...)

St. Patrick's Cathedral

With Dorothy, in front of the Rockefeller Center

At Times Square ...

... with all its Neon lighting!
